ALIVE… FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS??
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14
WHAT’S THE 4/14 ‘NATIONAL NOT ASHAMED OF JESUS DAY’ ABOUT?
It’s about all of us believers, on one particular day, declaring to the world around us, “We are here, as followers of Jesus, unashamed of the gospel. We love the Lord, and cannot be muzzled or silenced. ”
It’s also about finding mutual strength, together.
It is a perfect way to make clear to the world around us,
“As followers of Jesus, we are here for you. How can we be a blessing in your life?”
Once that happens – get ready – the cat is out of the bag.
We will no longer blend in, or float under the radar!
Yet isn’t this the very reason we are here: to be witnesses, to testify, to share our faith, to point people to Jesus, to love and serve this lost generation, and to stand for what is right?
This unifying day may be the very opportunity we’ve been waiting for; praying for!
So, on 4/14 (inspired by Esther 4:14), let us find our voice together, demonstrating to the world that:
THE LOVE OF JESUS CANNOT BE CANCELED or SILENCED.
REALLY AS OUTNUMBERED AS WE FEEL?
It can be easy for us to feel like we are all alone in our workplaces, classes, or neighborhoods. And that mindset acts like a muzzle.
But the truth is that there are tens of millions of followers of Jesus around us in the United States alone.
Just as the prophet Elijah once felt that he was the only one left serving God, God encouraged him that there were another 7,000 who had not bowed to this world (see 1 Kings 19). We are not alone.
SO HERE ARE SOME EASY 4/14 ACTIONS – HOW WILL YOU PARTICIPATE?
Whatever ideas are wholesome and permitted; whatever is good and right – let’s do this day with love and grace!
“UM, I LOVE JESUS, BUT I’VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE…”
Being nervous is understandable. Know that you’re not alone.
- In some cases, we have never done anything like this before because, sadly, we have been ashamed of our faith, worried about experiencing rejection or mockery or reproach for the sake of His Name.
- In other cases, it’s simply because we didn’t think we’d found the ‘perfect time’ or the ‘right setting’ to share our testimony. Perhaps we hadn’t yet felt forced to stand for our convictions.
Well, in either case, the time has now come! Let us look to the Lord for forgiveness, wisdom, courage, and boldness for this 4/14!

GET THE WORD OUT (NOW) TO OTHER BELIEVERS.
TOGETHER WE’LL ALL TAKE A STAND ON THIS HISTORIC DAY.
Together, we can make history. Together, we can help turn the tide. Together, we can overcome cancel culture and push back against demonic intimidation and the silencing of the lambs.
The moment we take hold of this reality—that by losing our lives we find our lives—cancel culture, along with the larger culture of peer pressure, loses it power.
The moment we take hold of this reality, we are truly free.
Now is the time for us to join together and stand and speak and act. Cancel culture will be overcome by the cross.
Our Savior died, and we died with Him. But Jesus also rose from the dead, conquering sin and death.
We rose with Him too, and now we live by Him.
In Jesus’ name, we will not be silenced.
#JESUS414 – NOW IS THE TIME!
Of course, we aren’t called to follow Jesus just one day/year, we are to walk with Him everyday.
Yet this 4/14 – Not Ashamed of Jesus Day is the much-needed momentum to kickstart conversations and open doors around the country with coworkers, neighbors, and friends.
And who knows..?
It may even help you identify fellow believers in your daily life (that you didn’t realize were of like-mind) with whom you can join together in ongoing prayer to see God bring life-giving transformation to your workplace, neighborhood, etc!
